Founded in 2003, Sparrow Adult Living is a family owned apartment complex in the heart of North Houston. Sparrow takes pride in providing our clients quality services and everlasting care for the past 16 years.
Within walking distance of Sparrow there's public transportation, a Family Dollar, a convenience store, a grocery store, churches, small restaurants and Highway 59/45.

His Eye is on the Sparrow
Inspired by the song, “His Eye is on the Sparrow,” a Gospel hymn written in 1905 by lyricist Civilla D. Martin and Charles H. Gabriel. Sparrow Adult Living is dedicated to serving those in need. Sparrow Adult Living was created to provide a safe living environment for low income residents.

Dawn Sparrow Lavalais
Founder/Owner

Dawn Sparrow Lavalais has spent the last 15 years owning and operating Sparrow Adult Living on principles of integrity, compassion and professionalism in taking care of her 60+ clients. As a native Houstonian, Dawn is a graduate of Jack Yates High School. From there, she attended Houston Community College and earned a BS degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She is actively involved in state and local industry associations including Houston Association For Residential Care Homes, Texas Association for Assisted Living and Membership of Texas Apartment Association.
D'Angela Proctor
Co-Founder/Co-Owner

D'Angela Proctor is also a Houston native and a graduate of Jack Yates High School. She attended Spelman College with a BA degree in Political Science. She also serves as a media expert and content veteran with a vision to create high-quality content, while captivating audiences through stories made by or featuring black voices.
